Basic Ways To Learn Graphic Designing

Graphic Designing

Stage 1. Uh, step 1. Learn to see

Jumping into Photoshop too soon is the biggest mistake. Learning Photoshop doesn’t make you learn Graphic Designing, just as you don’t become an artist by buying paintbrushes. Begin with a base Learn how to draw first. You don’t have to sit in space trying to draw a nude woman with a bunch of other artists. You don’t have to be too good at drawing, either. Only learn the basics so you can draw with a pen comfortably.

To learn how to draw, you just have to do one thing: get the bookYou Can Draw in 30 days and practice every day for a month for half an hour. I’ve been looking at a lot of books on drawing and this is one of the best.

The 2nd stage. Learn how to use Illustrator and Photoshop

Hooray!-Hooray! You have a very strong base now, both visual and UX. Ready to learn Photoshop, you are. I actually suggest that you first start with Illustrator and then move on to Photoshopafterward. What artists use to render logos and symbols is the illustrator.

Educate the Illustrator

To learn Illustrator, there are a lot of books, online tutorials, and in-person courses. Choose the look for you that fits best. Here are the books I found particularly helpful in learning Illustrator’s basics:

Phase Three. Know those specialties

Would you like mobile applications to be designed? For websites? About Infographics? Explore them all, and pick and choose the ones you like to get better at them.

Uh, move 4. Create your portfolio

To get a job as a designer, you don’t need to go to a fancy design school. You do need a good portfolio, though. If you are just starting out for the first time, how do you create a portfolio? The good news is that you don’t need to partner with real customers on real projects to create a portfolio for Graphic Designing. Make upside projects of your own. There are a couple of suggestions here:

  • Silly fashion proposals for t-shirts.
  • Find websites that are badly designed and overhaul them.
  • Had an iPhone app idea? Mock it up.
  • Join a team and be a designer on a weekend project at Startup Weekend.
